Role Overview

Evolve Talent is seeking seasoned Drainers for projects based in Brendale and the Sunshine Coast, Queensland. The primary responsibility involves installing, repairing, and maintaining subterranean drainage systems within civil and infrastructure works. The role demands practical hands-on drainage tasks such as pipe setting, trench preparation, and connection of drainage systems.

Key Responsibilities

• Install, repair, and maintain sewer, stormwater, and other below ground drainage systems.
• Interpret and analyze construction plans, drawings, and project specifications accurately.
• Set pipe alignments, gradients, and levels precisely on site.
• Prepare trenches and assess ground conditions for drainage installation.
• Lay and align pipes, ensuring proper gradient and meeting compliance standards.
• Install drainage infrastructure including pits and junctions.
• Safely connect pipelines to existing networks and live services.
• Perform inspections and quality control checks on drainage work.
• Detect and fix any defects or issues during installation.
• Document and maintain records of completed work as required.

Qualifications and Experience

• Relevant trade qualifications or demonstrable equivalent work experience in drainage.
• Minimum of one year recent full-time experience in drainer or closely related roles.
• In-depth understanding of drainage techniques within civil construction contexts.
• Competent in reading and interpreting engineering blueprints and project documentation.
• Knowledgeable about trenching, bedding, pipe installation, and correct backfilling methods.
• Familiar with stormwater, sewer, and underground piping systems including pits and related structures.
• Experience working safely around underground services and employing safe excavation practices.

Employment Details

There are multiple openings for this full-time position. The salary range offered is between $80,000 and $105,000 annually, plus superannuation, with flexibility based on experience.
