Position Summary

The Domestic Assistant role is designed to maintain high standards of cleanliness and hygiene throughout the care home to ensure a welcoming environment for residents and staff. This full-time contract position entails working 40 hours weekly, including weekends, with a pay rate of £12.71 per hour.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform all daily and weekly cleaning activities, including dusting, mopping, polishing, and vacuuming.
• Clean designated areas such as bedrooms, lounges, kitchens, bathrooms, offices, and communal spaces thoroughly.
• Operate cleaning equipment like carpet cleaners effectively as required.
• Assist with laundry duties such as washing and drying when needed.
• Identify and report any breakages, damages, defects, or hazards encountered during cleaning routines.
• Promote a caring atmosphere by respecting residents’ dignity and independence while attending to cleaning tasks.
