Overview

This executive role oversees the creation and implementation of a comprehensive enterprise AI transformation strategy, driving adoption of innovative AI technologies and unlocking their business value. The Director partners closely with leadership and cross-functional teams to pinpoint impactful AI opportunities while shaping governance and operational frameworks for responsible, scalable AI use.

Key Responsibilities

Design and steer an overarching AI transformation strategy aligned with corporate goals and operational priorities.
Develop and continuously update an AI roadmap balancing immediate utility with long-term innovation.
Collaborate with senior executives to identify and prioritize AI applications across business units.
Set up AI project intake and prioritization processes, resource allocation, and measurable outcome tracking.
Oversee budgets for AI tools, vendors, experiments, and enablement programs.
Stay abreast of emerging AI technologies, evaluate their business impact, and propose productivity-enhancing solutions.
Lead organizational AI advocacy by educating teams and translating complex concepts into practical applications for varied audiences.
Formulate and implement AI governance frameworks and responsible usage policies ensuring security and compliance.
Balance innovation speed with risk management to optimize AI adoption and operational safeguards.

Candidate Profile

Proven leadership in spearheading enterprise-wide transformation initiatives and technology adoption.
Deep knowledge of contemporary AI technologies, functionalities, constraints, and business use cases.
Experience in crafting strategic plans, roadmaps, and models for technology deployment.
Skilled at managing technology budgets and assessing investment value.
Excellent communication and influence skills across executive and diverse teams.
Established experience in developing technology governance and responsible use frameworks.
Ability to demystify technical AI concepts into actionable guidance for non-specialists.
Hands-on curiosity and experimentation with new AI tools and platforms.
Track record of automating processes to enhance operational efficiency.
Background in strategic roles such as operations, technology leadership, digital transformation, or consulting preferred.
