Organization Overview
Sonoscan Healthcare is a prominent healthcare provider offering diagnostic and multispeciality outpatient and inpatient services across various regions of West Bengal including Kolkata, Malda, Balurghat, and Gangarampur for over 35 years. Recently, they have extended technical support to Park Clinic in Kolkata, which features inpatient, outpatient, and diagnostic facilities.
Educational and Experience Requirements
Candidates must hold a diploma or degree in Dialysis Technology from the State Medical Faculty of West Bengal or any other recognized university or institution. A minimum of three years of practical experience as a Dialysis Technician within a nephrology or dialysis unit of a reputable multispecialty hospital is essential.
Primary Responsibilities
- Continuously monitor patients’ vital signs and overall condition before, during, and after dialysis sessions to ensure patient safety and comfort.
- Operate and maintain dialysis equipment, including cleaning and disinfecting machines, reusable dialyzers, and related apparatus according to established protocols.
- Support clinical teams by assisting doctors and nurses throughout dialysis procedures and general patient care.
- Prepare patients and dialysis setups—such as machines, dialyzers, tubing, and necessary supplies—prior to treatment commencement.
- Closely monitor dialysis parameters during treatment and promptly alert medical personnel regarding any abnormal events or complications.
- Maintain meticulous documentation of patient records, treatment details, and periodic vital signs.
- Adhere strictly to hygiene, infection control, and biomedical waste disposal guidelines to prevent contamination and infection.
- Provide basic care and assistance to patients during dialysis procedures.
