Design Assistant

About the Role

We are seeking a meticulous and highly organized Design Assistant to aid our lead designer within a dynamic luxury residential design and construction setting. This role serves primarily as support rather than a lead design position. While there are chances to contribute creatively through mood boards and presentation creation, your main focus will be maintaining project organization, managing selections, and ensuring the smooth functioning of our design studio.

Primary Responsibilities

• Assist the lead designer with everyday project requirements
• Keep the design showroom and sample library orderly and well-maintained
• Handle ordering, receiving, labeling, and returning of design samples
• Produce mood boards and presentation materials under guidance
• Update and manage client selections in project management software accurately
• Organize project documentation including files, specifications, and digital assets
• Input and maintain project data with high attention to detail
• Liaise with vendors about samples and product details
• Support installation processes and other project-related duties as required
• Provide general administrative assistance to ensure smooth project progress

Candidate Qualifications

• Outstanding organizational skills with careful attention to detail
• A creative eye and enthusiasm for interior design
• Effective communication skills and strong time management ability
• Capability to handle multiple tasks and stay organized in a fast-paced environment
• Positive approach and readiness to assist wherever needed
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Google Workspace
• Experience with Canva, Adobe Creative Suite, or SketchUp is advantageous
• Interest in residential construction or custom home projects is a plus
