About the Role

SPAR Eastgate, a distinguished convenience store located in Cork, is seeking a dedicated and energetic Deli Assistant to join the Little Island team. This position is full-time and involves working in the vibrant fresh food and deli department where daily preparation of sandwiches, salads, and meals is conducted alongside a supportive and friendly team.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare a variety of food items within the fresh food department ensuring quality and taste.
• Assist management by supporting daily operations within the deli section.
• Maintain strict adherence to HACCP and Food Safety standards throughout all activities.
• Fulfill customer orders accurately including both hot and cold selections.
• Ensure cleanliness and upkeep of the fresh food area complying with company food safety policies.
• Deliver excellent customer service with a positive attitude to enhance shopper experience.
• Handle customer inquiries promptly and professionally.
• Undertake additional tasks as assigned by store management to support the department’s needs.
