Data Scientist

Role overview

This position is for a data scientist who enjoys working with data at scale, learning continuously, and moving quickly in a collaborative environment. The role focuses on turning complex datasets into practical business insight and helping transform analytical ideas into production-ready solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Work through raw datasets by checking data quality, cleaning and organizing information, and preparing it for later processing.
• Create prediction models that are both precise and able to handle scale.
• Partner with the engineering function to move analytical proofs of concept into live production use.
• Translate findings from data into recommendations that can improve business performance.

Qualifications

• Hold a bachelor's degree, or have equivalent hands-on experience, in a quantitative discipline such as statistics, mathematics, computer science, engineering, or a similar field.
• Bring 1 to 2 years of experience in quantitative analytics or data modeling.
• Understand predictive modeling in depth, including machine learning, clustering, classification, and related algorithms.
• Be comfortable programming in at least one language such as Python, C, C++, Java, or SQL.
• Have exposure to big data ecosystems and visualization platforms such as Cassandra, Hadoop, Spark, or Tableau.
