Role Overview
This position involves managing and safeguarding research data, maintaining database systems, and assisting colleagues with efficient and accurate reporting. The post holder will process large volumes of research and patient information, ensuring proper storage in compliance with data protection regulations and approved protocols.
Key Duties
- Operate an effective information service for internal teams by responding promptly to data requests, reviewing datasets, and producing precise reports.
- Monitor the integrity and completeness of datasets, investigate inconsistencies, resolve data issues, and correct errors within one month of identification.
- Develop and maintain robust reporting mechanisms that fulfill the needs of the Clinical Research Facilities (CRF) and external Trust departments, with regular updates to outputs.
- Document and update procedures in alignment with NHS data standards and agreed deadlines, adapting to evolving data requirements and information needs.
- Participate in CRF internal Quality Assurance activities, including auditing clinical trials to ensure adherence to protocols, standard operating procedures (SOPs), Good Clinical Practice (GCP), and related legislation.
- Ensure strict compliance with the Trust's policies on data protection, confidentiality, and security measures.
- Provide tailored data support to researchers for publications, presentations, and funding reports on an as-needed basis.
- Enter patient data accurately and efficiently into relevant databases, maintaining a high level of detail and precision.
