Deskripsi pekerjaan
About the role
Fractal Analytics is looking for a seasoned data analyst to support healthcare-focused analytics work. The role centers on turning complex healthcare data into reliable, business-ready insights that can power forecasting, reporting, and AI/ML initiatives. You will work across business, data engineering, analytics, and data science teams to improve data quality, structure, and usability.
This opportunity is remote and is not eligible for immigration sponsorship at this time.
What you will do
- Profile and assess large healthcare datasets, including claims, provider, member, and finance data, to understand structure, quality, and gaps.
- Build and maintain source-to-target mapping documents so data movement across systems remains traceable and accurate.
- Define business terms, glossary entries, transformations, and rules to keep data standards consistent.
- Spot irregularities, patterns, and data issues, then help drive their resolution.
- Work closely with business stakeholders to capture requirements and translate them into analytical solutions.
- Set up and manage intake workflows for new datasets and support smooth onboarding.
- Act as a connector between business users, SMEs, data engineering, and data science teams to clarify and validate requirements.
- Develop, optimize, and validate complex SQL for extraction, transformation, and data checks.
- Work with large-scale data in Azure Databricks using Spark, SQL, Python, or Scala.
- Support validation of pipeline outputs built in Databricks and collaborate with engineers on secure, scalable data solutions.
- Handle healthcare claims data in line with domain rules and interpret data structures and coding standards correctly.
- Apply strong data quality, governance, validation, reconciliation, and lineage practices.
What we are looking for
- Deep experience in SQL, including advanced querying and performance optimization.
- Practical experience with Azure Databricks, including Spark and Delta Lake.
- Exposure to cloud data platforms such as Azure, with Snowflake or BigQuery as a plus.
- Knowledge of data modeling, ETL/ELT workflows, and data warehousing concepts.
- Strong background in healthcare data, especially claims processing, plus familiarity with provider, member, and financial datasets.
- Ability to work with healthcare-specific standards and business rules.
- Experience in data profiling, root-cause analysis, and validation.
- Prior work creating source-to-target mapping documentation.
- Comfort with unclear requirements and the ability to bring structure and clarity.
- Strong troubleshooting, problem-solving, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
- Confidence working cross-functionally with both business and technical teams, with a strong sense of ownership and accountability.
Qualifications
You should have a B.Tech or MCA, which corresponds to a minimum of 16 years of formal education. The ideal profile includes 8+ years of overall experience, at least 3 years working with Azure ADF and Databricks, and 5 years of advanced SQL development experience.
Success measures
- Higher data quality, consistency, and governance across datasets.
- Quicker onboarding of new data sources with less dependence on engineering support.
- Better forecast accuracy and more reliable analytics outputs.
- Less manual effort spent on preparing data.
- Delivery of analysis-ready datasets that support advanced analytics work.
Compensation
The estimated pay range for this role is $150,000 to $170,000. Compensation may also include a discretionary bonus for the current performance period.
Benefits
As a full-time employee, or as an hourly employee working more than 30 hours per week, you may be eligible for medical, dental, vision, life insurance, and disability coverage according to the plan documents. Benefits begin on the first day of employment. You may also join the company 401(k) plan after 30 days, subject to plan terms. The company offers 11 paid holidays, 12 weeks of parental leave, and a flexible PTO policy that can be used for sick time or vacation.
