Job Description and Responsibilities
The Custodian plays a key role in maintaining cleanliness throughout the Distribution Center, including offices, restrooms, break rooms, and other designated zones. This position reports to the Maintenance Supervisor or Senior Manager of Safety and Maintenance, operating from the Braselton or Stockbridge Distribution Centers.
- Perform daily cleaning operations covering offices, break rooms, restrooms, and other specified areas.
- Manage adequate stock levels of cleaning supplies and communicate replenishment needs to the maintenance team.
- Adhere to safety standards by wearing necessary protective gear such as work boots and gloves.
- Assist with additional distribution and maintenance support tasks as assigned.
- Ensure compliance with housekeeping, safety protocols, and C-TPAT standards within the assigned area.
- Offer support to Coordinators and Supervisors across all operational facets of the Distribution Center as needed.
- Carry out other responsibilities as directed.
Candidate Requirements
- Strong teamwork skills with flexibility to undertake various duties that contribute to departmental and facility goals.
- Customer-service mindset aimed at surpassing customer expectations.
- Physical capability to lift up to 50 pounds repeatedly, proficient use of RF scanning equipment, and the ability to stand, bend, and twist for shifts lasting up to 12 hours.
- Clear and effective communication skills with supervisors, managers, and colleagues.
- Willingness to work overtime and adhere to blackout periods during peak business cycles.
- Previous experience in custodial roles is preferred but not mandatory.
- A proactive attitude geared towards exceeding expectations.
