About the Role
A leading company in the solar industry is seeking a mid-level corporate paralegal to join their legal team on a contract basis. This role involves providing essential support for corporate transactions and governance matters. The paralegal will handle daily deal support, manage documentation and diligence coordination, along with general legal process assistance, allowing attorneys to focus on negotiation and deal execution.
Responsibilities
- Assist with complex and large-scale transactions from the diligence phase through to closing.
- Collect, organize, and maintain all transaction-related documents systematically within shared drives.
- Work in coordination with the Project Management Office (PMO) for asset onboarding and perform pre-closing diligence activities.
- Handle management of due diligence materials as well as closing documents.
- Support and help coordinate entity transfers and perform related post-closing legal procedures.
Candidate Profile
- Possess between 5 and 7 years of legal experience, preferably with in-house corporate legal teams.
- Strong expertise in transactions, mergers and acquisitions (M&A) support, or deal process management.
- Ability to operate independently, managing tasks without assuming responsibility for overarching legal strategies.
- Thrives in collaborative environments and is comfortable working transparently within small teams.
- Experience in the solar energy industry is beneficial but not mandatory.
Additional Details
- Position Type: Contract
- Work Hours: Full-time, 40 hours per week
- Contract Duration: 3 months
- Pay Range: $50 to $70 per hour (equivalent to approximately $100,000 to $140,000 annually)

- Location: Preferably Houston, Texas, but remote candidates within the United States will be considered.
