Job Overview
Starting from September 1, 2026, we are seeking a Cook/Chef to join our team at Jugendherberge Stralsund. This is a permanent, full-time position with an annual variable working time totaling 1560 hours per year.

Qualifications and Requirements
- Completed vocational training in gastronomy, e.g., as a cook or chef
- Preferably some professional experience
- Experience in community catering and handling special dietary needs
- Familiarity with inventory management and controlling food expenditure
- Strong team spirit and genuine enthusiasm for the role
Working Conditions
The position entails shift work including Sundays and public holidays, with a reliable schedule to ensure compatibility with personal and family life. The variable annual working hours support year-round employment with seasonal adjustments.
About Us
The DJH State Association Mecklenburg-West Pomerania operates 12 youth hostels situated in beautiful locations such as the Baltic Sea coast, nature areas, and lakes. We are a non-profit organization providing meaningful work and enriching experiences with youth groups, school classes, and families.
