Role Overview
Yamama Cement is hiring a Control Operator to support the reliability and performance of plant control systems and DCS equipment. The role focuses on keeping operations safe, stable, and continuously running through maintenance, troubleshooting, and optimization work.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out preventive checks and corrective repairs on control systems and DCS equipment.
- Watch control room systems and confirm that equipment is operating as expected.
- Validate protection circuits, safety functions, and interlock signals.
- Set up and update POLCID control logic as needed.
- Perform calibration on field instruments to maintain measurement precision.
- Draft maintenance records, reports, and other technical documents.
- Work with other teams on maintenance scheduling and spare-parts planning.
- Follow established safety rules and operational procedures at all times.
Requirements
- A bachelor's degree in Electronics Engineering, Control Engineering, Instrumentation Engineering, or a closely related discipline.
- 2 to 4 years of hands-on experience in industrial control systems.
- At least 1 year of direct experience working with POLCID.
- Practical knowledge of DCS, PLCs, instrumentation, calibration, and fault finding.
- Experience in a cement plant or another heavy industrial setting is an advantage.
