Role Overview
The Compensation Lead role involves taking full ownership of managing the compensation systems, including Radford for survey reporting and Pave for cycle management. This position requires a meticulous and analytical approach to ensure these systems align with Affirm’s policies and meet employee needs. The role is central to day-to-day compensation operations, maintaining program effectiveness and market competitiveness.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee the complete administration of semiannual compensation cycles.
- Lead and contribute to annual compensation benchmarking studies by auditing job functions, managing survey submissions and reviews, and updating compensation frameworks for cash and equity.
- Perform special analytical projects relating to incentive pay, equity programs, and pay equity assessments.
- Manage pay reporting processes for Affirm’s supported geographies.
- Provide training and communications support related to compensation.
Candidate Profile
- Minimum of five years’ experience in compensation or people analytics roles.
- Proficiency with compensation management platforms, preferably Pave.
- Strong analytical capabilities, adept at converting raw data into actionable insights using tools such as Excel, Google Sheets, Sigma Computing, or Claude Code.
- Excellent attention to detail, a reliable work ethic, and the capability to operate both independently and collaboratively.
- Collaborative team player with excellent communication skills and the ability to meet project deadlines.
- Exhibits sound judgment and integrity in handling sensitive, confidential information.
- Experience addressing complex problems through multi-faceted data analysis.
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills for conveying complex information clearly to various audiences including senior leaders.
- Well-organized and comfortable managing multiple shifting priorities in a dynamic environment.
- Customer service orientation and knowledge of relevant regulatory compliance requirements for compensation programs.
Compensation Details
The role is categorized under Pay Grade K and Equity Grade 4. New hires are generally positioned at the beginning of the pay range, which is structured simply and transparently based on location, experience, and skills. The annual base salary ranges from CAD 112,000 to CAD 172,000. The total rewards package may also include equity, monthly stipends for health, wellness, and technology expenses, and comprehensive benefits covering medical, dental, and vision insurance for employees and their dependents.
