Job description
Overview
Cartrefi Conwy is seeking a Community Caretaker to join their team working across various neighborhoods in North Wales. This part-time role involves maintaining safe, clean, and welcoming environments within communal areas, housing complexes, and outdoor spaces to enhance residents' quality of life.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out cleaning and upkeep of communal areas, refuse stores, and surroundings.
- Conduct visual inspections to identify repairs, safety hazards, and fire risks.
- Perform fire alarm tests and fire risk evaluations regularly.
- Support the maintenance of communal gardens and outdoor spaces.
- Monitor and report issues such as anti-social behavior, fly tipping, and environmental concerns.
- Collaborate closely with residents, colleagues, and partner organizations.
- Utilize digital tools to document inspections, tasks, and related service details.
Candidate Profile
- Experience in direct customer interaction.
- Basic skills in grounds maintenance or gardening.
- Understanding of health and safety responsibilities.
- Ability to work independently and manage workload effectively.
- Strong communication skills.
- Possession of a full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle.
- Welsh language skills are a strong advantage.
- Committed to delivering excellent customer service.
