Clinical Research Coordinator

Role overview

IMA Clinical Research is looking for a Clinical Research Coordinator (CRC) with phlebotomy background to join its New York City team. The position sits at the center of clinical trial operations, helping coordinate studies that support the development of new treatments for patients. The work involves close collaboration with investigators, sponsors, and clinical staff, along with strict adherence to FDA standards and GCP guidelines.

This opportunity requires prior involvement in coordinating clinical research studies with an active investigational product supplied by an industry sponsor.

Key responsibilities

• Manage and coordinate clinical trials in line with sponsor protocols and standard operating procedures.
• Build a strong working knowledge of each study’s protocol, visit schedule, and procedural requirements.
• Act as a primary point of contact for sponsors, CROs, monitors, IRBs, laboratories, and site staff.
• Assist investigators and team members to keep studies running smoothly and on schedule.
• Track, document, and report adverse events and serious adverse events within required timelines.
• Keep records complete, accurate, and timely while following ALCOA documentation principles.

Qualifications and experience

• At least 2 years of experience in clinical research and phlebotomy.
• Prior coordination of clinical studies involving an active investigational product provided by an industry sponsor is mandatory.
• CCRC certification is preferred.
• A bachelor’s degree is required; a master’s degree or equivalent experience is preferred.
• Ability to handle several projects at once and work independently.
• Strong communication, problem-solving, and leadership skills.
• Background in clinical healthcare tasks such as vitals or diagnostic testing is an added advantage.

Compensation and benefits

The starting annual salary for this role is $65,000 to $75,000, depending on experience.
