Job Responsibilities
The Claims Reimbursement Analyst will be responsible for programming and executing enterprise-wide claims auditing logic under the guidance of the Manager of Professional Reimbursement Programs. This role also provides assistance in the implementation, updates, and upkeep of claims auditing software code.
Required Qualifications
- Possession of an Associate degree or at least two years of experience in the healthcare sector.
- Certification in one of the following Health Information Management credentials: RHIT, RHIA, CCS, CCS-P, CPC, CPC-A, or CPC-P; alternatively, willingness to obtain certification within 24 months of hire.
- Hands-on experience with professional coding systems and claims auditing logic.
- An understanding of medical practice trends, professional coding standards, and payment methodologies.
- Effective interpersonal, verbal, and written communication abilities.
- Strong analytical, research, and quantitative reasoning skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree preferred.
- Proficiency in CPT and ICD-10 coding.
- Familiarity with PC software including Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Teams.
Compensation and Employment Policy
The salary range for this position is $55,900 to $123,500 annually. Actual pay will be influenced by skills, experience, and geographic location.
