Role Overview

As a Claims Officer, you will deliver professional customer service by processing wage calculations, reviews, and back payments for employers and injured workers with precision and timeliness.

Key Responsibilities

• Communicate with internal and external parties to collect required information for accurate weekly payment computations.
• Perform wage and back pay calculations promptly to meet departmental performance goals.
• Manage and respond to emails received in shared inboxes.
• Maintain and update reporting spreadsheets and systems daily to limit delays.
• Conduct wage computations and reviews applying average weekly earnings or federal minimum wage standards.
• Review colleagues' calculations to ensure error-free outcomes and address discrepancies.
• Complete economic adjustment reviews in accordance with legislation for claims over one year old.
• Gather data and compute arrears for weekly payments or back pays.

Candidate Profile

• Experience in data entry with focus on accuracy and attention to detail.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
• Strong administrative abilities combined with excellent customer service skills.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with a collaborative mindset.
