Overview
Amwins Self-Funded, LLC is seeking a Claims Analyst to join their team in Scottsdale, AZ. This full-time role primarily operates from the office with an option to work remotely up to two days per week after completing initial training. Primary Responsibilities
- Gain a thorough understanding of Amwins’ business model and supported insurance products under the guidance of the Claims Manager and Lead Claims Auditor.
- Communicate accurately and promptly with carriers, administrators, clients, and brokers using approved correspondence, while keeping the Claims Lead copied.
- Handle monthly claims reporting, ensuring delivery to the correct carrier and following up on missing items.
- Assess reimbursement requests for completeness and request additional details when necessary.
- Secure Claims Lead approval on eligibility documentation, especially for leaves extending beyond twelve weeks, before submitting claims.
- Submit and track reimbursement claims within authorized limits, following up on outstanding payments with carriers.
- Review and process reimbursements, ensuring timely and precise notifications to relevant contacts.
- Maintain comprehensive internal claim tracking records to ensure accuracy.
- Manage year-end account settlements by closing client accounts properly through reimbursement request resolution.
- Support other duties and participate in team projects, demonstrating flexibility and collaboration.
Qualifications
- A college degree or similar work experience is strongly encouraged.
- Familiarity with Microsoft Office tools, including Word, Excel, Outlook, and Teams, is preferred.
- Strong critical thinking and problem-solving capabilities.
- Ability to uphold strict confidentiality standards.
- Effective multitasking and organizational skills to manage shifting priorities and meet deadlines.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills for engaging with internal teams and external contacts.
- High attention to detail coupled with a sense of urgency.
- A strong desire to understand the company’s business model comprehensively.
