Role Overview
We are seeking a Category Manager based in Riyadh to lead and grow new health and wellness categories. This full-time, on-site position calls for managing product and service categories to improve growth, profitability, and operational efficiency. The role involves analyzing market trends, customer requirements, and competitor offerings to shape category strategies aligned with corporate objectives.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and implement effective category management strategies.
- Analyze data to monitor performance and uncover growth or optimization avenues.
- Manage procurement activities including supplier selection, contract negotiation, and sustaining strong vendor relationships.
- Collaborate closely with procurement, sales, marketing, and clinical teams to optimize product range and drive promotional efforts.
- Track category results, oversee pricing and contracts, coordinate with vendors.
- Identify and execute cost-saving and revenue-increasing opportunities.
- Prepare detailed reports and present insights to leadership to inform decision-making.
- Ensure all category decisions uphold Valeo Health ME’s commitment to quality patient-centric care.
Qualifications and Skills
- Proven expertise in category management with a track record in strategy development and execution.
- Strong analytical capabilities for data interpretation and performance tracking.
- Experience in procurement and contract negotiation, managing supplier relations with a focus on advantageous terms.
- Background in sales of healthcare products or services, with effective cross-team collaboration skills.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, Healthcare Management, or related discipline; advanced degrees welcomed.
- Prior exposure to healthcare, home care, or medical services within the GCC region is a significant advantage.
- Excellent communication, stakeholder engagement, and presentation abilities.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and data visualization; knowledge of ERP or procurement systems is beneficial.
- Willingness to work onsite in Riyadh and ability to manage multiple tasks in a dynamic healthcare environment.
