Role Overview
The Career Consultant, working fully remotely, plays a critical role in guiding clients through career exploration, planning, and transitions. Responsibilities include conducting personalized counseling sessions, evaluating client strengths and preferences, and formulating actionable career plans. Additional duties involve helping clients improve resumes and profiles, preparing them for interviews, advising on job search techniques, and offering specialized guidance to students and early-career individuals. Collaboration with peers to enhance career resources, maintaining thorough client records, and engaging in virtual training to remain informed about labor market developments are also essential parts of the position.
Qualifications
- Proficiency in career and student counseling to assist a diverse clientele with academic and professional decisions.
- Expertise in career development and management to design growth strategies and facilitate career transitions.
- Excellent communication abilities, including attentive listening, clear verbal and written expression, and remote trust-building.
- Previous coaching, mentoring, or advisory experience, preferably in education, HR, or career services.
- Capability to work autonomously in a remote setup, juggling multiple client engagements while keeping organized documentation.
- Familiarity with digital collaboration tools and virtual meeting platforms; knowledge of online job portals and networking sites is advantageous.
- Academic credentials in counseling, psychology, education, human resources, or allied disciplines are desirable.
- Dedication to promoting inclusiveness and supporting clients from varied backgrounds without discrimination.
