Job Overview

The role focuses on assembling the bottom panel of mattresses by attaching the bottom velour to the border. This includes sewing borders and occasionally incorporating the law tag and hanging label. The candidate is expected to maintain quality, report defects, and ensure a clean working environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Retrieve borders and panels from storage racks for production activities.
• Sew borders, ensuring proper integration of the law tag when needed.
• Trim threads as appropriate and forward completed pieces for sorting and matching.
• Inspect stitch quality to identify and address defects promptly.
• Report machinery malfunctions contributing to defects to supervisory personnel.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization in the work area.
• Perform additional related tasks as assigned.

Required Qualifications and Skills

• Capability to read, write, and comprehend English language.
• Basic proficiency with arithmetic operations.
• Prior experience operating sewing machines in an industrial environment.
• Keen attention to detail to uphold quality standards.
• Consistent production output that supports the Make-To-Order manufacturing system.
• Physical ability to safely lift up to 50 pounds repeatedly.
