CAD Construction Project Manager

Overview

The City of Branson is hiring a technically minded Engineering Construction Project Manager/CAD professional to organize, coordinate, and lead complex work tied to engineering, infrastructure, environmental development, and GIS support for public works initiatives and capital improvement projects. The role requires applying scientific and technical expertise to project work and assignments.

Key Duties

• Oversee field surveying work, including layout, staking, and operation of specialized survey instruments.
• Produce design and drafting deliverables independently, such as drawings, maps, and as-built records.
• Manage CAD processes and work with multiple teams to keep engineering and public works projects on track.
• Contribute to a variety of utility and infrastructure projects, including water, sewer, stormwater, streets, and related work, while maintaining accuracy and compliance.

Candidate Requirements

• A high school diploma or GED is required.
• Prior experience in municipal construction inspection or observation is required.
• A valid driver’s license is required, along with insurability under the City of Branson motor vehicle coverage when driving for the job.
• The position may require evening and weekend work.
• Snow duty is part of the role and may involve 12-hour shifts between November and March.
• Employment is contingent on passing a background check and drug/alcohol screening.

Preferred Qualifications

• Completion of an accredited technical school program or an Associate of Technology degree in Civil Technology is preferred.
• Two years of progressively responsible full-time work in technical engineering, including drafting, surveying, and mapping, is preferred.
• Two years of technical engineering experience may be accepted in place of formal education or training.
• Two years of experience using AutoCAD Civil 3D is preferred.

The starting annual salary is $63,743.51.

Work Schedule and Location

Standard hours are Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM, with after-hours on-call availability required. Work is performed onsite in and around Branson, Missouri.
