Role Overview

The Business Unit Manager for Wound Closure within the Surgery division leads the commercial success of their assigned business segment in Saudi Arabia. This leadership position involves strategizing and driving sustainable growth, managing customer engagement, coaching a sales team, and collaborating with cross-functional departments to enhance healthcare provider value and patient outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Achieve annual targets for sales, market share, profitability, and strategic goals.
  • Formulate and implement business and account strategies in alignment with corporate priorities.
  • Lead and develop a high-performing commercial sales team.
  • Establish and nurture strategic partnerships with surgeons, hospitals, procurement teams, and healthcare stakeholders.
  • Oversee forecasting, business plans, pricing strategies, portfolio management, and performance evaluations.
  • Collaborate with internal teams including Marketing, Medical Affairs, Finance, Supply Chain, Customer Service, and Regulatory to optimize outcomes.
  • Ensure adherence to the Johnson & Johnson Credo, healthcare compliance standards, and local regulatory requirements.

Candidate Profile and Requirements

  • Possess a Bachelor's degree in Business, Life Sciences, Biomedical Engineering, or related disciplines; an MBA is advantageous.
  • Hold 7 to 10+ years of proven commercial experience in the medical devices or healthcare sector.
  • Demonstrate strong leadership capabilities combined with strategic and financial insight.
  • Exhibit excellent skills in communication, stakeholder management, and team coaching.
  • Fluency in English is required; proficiency in Arabic is considered a plus.
