The Role
We are seeking a Business Development Lead who thrives on creating qualified sales opportunities and enjoys innovating how they are generated. This role entails building strong connections with potential clients to create opportunities for Account Executives while owning and evolving our outbound prospecting efforts.
The ideal candidate will develop and experiment with AI-enhanced sales workflows, assess new tools, optimize messaging, streamline processes, and help define modern outbound strategies at Ballpark. This position offers substantial influence over the company’s revenue generation methods as we scale.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop qualified sales pipeline through targeted outreach across email, LinkedIn, phone and other effective channels.
- Lead the strategy for prospecting within target accounts, personas, and sectors.
- Design and refine AI-driven outbound workflows to scale prospecting intelligently.
- Assess new sales and AI technologies to maintain competitive advantage.
- Constantly test and improve messaging, outreach sequences, and playbooks.
- Disseminate learnings and contribute to building a comprehensive outbound playbook for incoming team members.
- Stay informed on AI and go-to-market trends, integrating innovative concepts into the business.
Requirements
- Proven experience in outbound business development within SaaS environments.
- History of consistently generating robust, high-quality pipelines.
- Passion for creating and enhancing sales systems and processes beyond routine execution.
- Strong interest and curiosity about AI technologies and their application in sales.
- Excellent written communication skills with the ability to personalize outreach at scale.
- Highly organized, proactive, and commercially aware.
- Collaborative mindset with humility and eagerness to share successful strategies.
