Role Overview
Pacers Sports & Entertainment invites applications for a Business Analytics Season Associate to join their team in Indianapolis, IN. This position runs from August 2026 through April 2027 and involves an estimated weekly commitment of 25 to 35 hours on-site. This opportunity is tailored for individuals passionate about analytics, business, and sports, seeking hands-on experience across various facets of team business operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Analyze specific business challenges to support strategic decisions.
- Collect, cleanse, organize, store, and integrate data from multiple sources.
- Manage and assess survey data to extract significant customer insights.
- Develop standard reports and conduct custom analytical evaluations.
- Support preparation of research and analytics reports aimed at senior management.
- Present findings to internal teams through clear reports, presentations, and tools.
- Undertake other responsibilities and projects as assigned.
Qualifications & Skills
- Bachelor's degree in business analytics, data science, sports management, mathematics, or related fields; equivalent practical experience is acceptable.
- Proficiency with qualitative and quantitative data analysis methods and interpretation.
- Capability to manipulate and interpret various datasets for comprehensive analysis.
- Experience with data analysis and visualization platforms such as Excel, PowerPoint, SQL (Azure Apache Spark), Tableau (preferred), and Power BI.
- Familiarity with Salesforce CRM, Marketing Cloud, Ticketmaster, Archtics, Google Analytics, Qualtrics, or Formstack is advantageous.
- Keen interest in market research, business analytics, customer insights, as well as the sports and entertainment sectors.
- Strong written and verbal communication abilities.
- Flexibility and positive attitude to manage multiple priorities effectively.
- Ability to work autonomously while handling confidential information.
- Willingness to maintain a flexible work schedule.
Physical & Work Environment Demands
- Regularly required to sit, stand, walk, utilize telephone and computer, and communicate effectively through speaking, hearing, reading, and writing.
- Typical office noise levels are moderate, whereas fieldhouse or game day settings can be loud.
- Periods of high stress may occur during certain times annually.
