Job Overview
Whole Foods Market is seeking a strategic and analytical Business Analyst to enhance our assortment analytics efforts. This role involves interpreting complex datasets to support and refine assortment strategies for optimal item selection, driving actionable insights into customer behavior, product performance, and key market trends.
Primary Responsibilities
- Analyze diverse data including customer transactions and market trends to uncover patterns and opportunities for assortment improvements.
- Create and sustain dynamic reports and dashboards that monitor assortment performance segmented by stores, categories, channels, and initiatives.
- Leverage customer segmentation and behavioral data to inform and guide assortment decisions.
- Develop and assess experimental test-and-learn initiatives to determine the effectiveness of assortment plans.
- Collaborate closely with Category Merchants, technical teams, operations, and senior leadership to align analytical insights with business objectives.
- Communicate findings clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences to facilitate informed cross-functional decision-making.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent qualification.
- At least 3 years of experience in business or financial analysis.
- Proficiency in Excel, including advanced functions like VBA, pivot tables, array formulas, and Power Pivot.
- Experience utilizing data visualization tools such as Tableau.
- Strong command of SQL for data querying.
- Demonstrated ability to make business recommendations and influence stakeholders effectively.
Preferred Experience
- Prior experience in retail, grocery, or consumer packaged goods (CPG) sectors is highly desirable.
Compensation and Benefits
The position offers an annual salary range between 74,300 and 130,100 USD. Compensation packages include sign-on bonuses and restricted stock units (RSUs).
