Role Overview

Data plays a vital role in guiding business decisions across the company's expanding network of restaurants. The Business Analyst will be responsible for converting complex data into actionable insights to assist Operations, Marketing, Finance, and Executive teams in business planning and performance improvement. Reporting to the Senior Vice President, this position requires gathering and interpreting data from multiple sources, identifying trends, monitoring key metrics, and presenting recommendations to promote growth and operational success.

Key Responsibilities

• Gather, cleanse, validate, and analyze data from various business platforms.
• Design and maintain dashboards and reports that offer valuable insights to business leadership.
• Track key performance indicators related to restaurant operations, sales, marketing, and finance divisions.
• Detect trends, opportunities, and risks via data analysis, and effectively communicate findings to relevant stakeholders.
• Support forecasting, budgeting, and strategic planning through comprehensive data analyses.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand analytics needs and develop tailored reporting solutions.
• Automate routine reports to enhance reporting efficiency and accuracy.
• Maintain integrity, consistency, and accuracy of data within reporting systems.
• Perform ad hoc analyses to address specific business inquiries and assist leadership decision-making.
• Translate complex datasets into clear, concise presentations suitable for both technical and non-technical audiences.
• Continuously seek opportunities to improve data quality, reporting workflows, and business intelligence tools.

Qualifications and Experience

• A bachelor's degree in Data Analytics, Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Business, Economics, or related disciplines.
• Minimum of five years in a Data Analyst, Business Analyst, or comparable analytical position.
• Expertise in Microsoft Excel, including advanced features like complex formulas and PivotTables.
• Proficiency in business intelligence software such as Power BI, Tableau, or equivalents.
• Strong SQL capabilities with experience handling large datasets and working with relational databases.
• Analytical with strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
• Meticulous attention to detail and dedication to maintaining data accuracy.
• Excellent communication skills for clearly presenting findings both verbally and in writing.
• Ability to manage competing priorities and perform independently in a fast-paced setting.
• Experience in the restaurant, franchise, retail, or quick-service restaurant (QSR) industries is highly valued.
• Knowledge or experience in forecasting, predictive analytics, or statistical modeling is advantageous.

Compensation and Benefits

• Competitive salary range between 80000 and 90000 CAD annually.
