Role Summary
The BMS Technician will serve as the face of Johnson Controls at various customer locations, driving the advancement and maintenance of building control systems. The role involves collaboration with clients and project teams to ensure high-quality service delivery and foster business growth opportunities.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform assigned service tasks promptly to maintain high levels of customer satisfaction.
- Configure and commission building control systems along with network controllers.
- Maintain and update system documentation and software programs following established standards.
- Record service activities and prepare detailed service reports.
- Promote safety practices and adhere to a Zero Harm safety culture.
- Assist Key Account Managers with project pricing and design considerations.
- Support and promote Johnson Controls' cloud-based and OpenBlue technology platforms.
Requirements
- Minimum of five years' experience as a control systems service engineer.
- HNC/HND qualification or equivalent in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline.
- Formal certifications or diplomas in relevant technical areas are advantageous.
- Experience or working knowledge of Metasys systems is beneficial.
- Strong communication skills, able to clearly explain technical information to non-technical individuals.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
- Holder of a full clean Irish driving license.
- Capable of working independently and as part of a team.
- Availability for overtime work and participation in out-of-hours callout rotations.
Additional Information
This role is mobile, requiring travel to multiple customer sites across Dublin, Ireland.
