About the Role

Join MACA’s highly regarded Drill & Blast teams at various mine sites across Western Australia as a Blast Hole Driller. In this position, you will operate drilling rigs safely and efficiently to meet daily production goals while working a 2:1 roster. As a key member of a skilled and supportive team, your contribution will be crucial in delivering precise, productive, and quality drilling results.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

• Execute drilling operations according to planned depth and angles
• Perform daily pre-start inspections and report equipment faults promptly
• Adapt drilling techniques based on varying ground conditions
• Comply strictly with all safety guidelines and site protocols
• Collaborate closely with Shotfirers and Supervisors to ensure accurate drill pattern execution
• Apply in-depth knowledge of ground conditions and drilling methodologies

Candidate Requirements

• Proven experience working in production mining within open pit environments
• Proficiency with Epiroc T45, D65; Sandvik D1650i, DP1500i, DR410i; CAT MD6250, CAT 5150 drill rigs is preferred
• Current Western Australia manual driver’s license is mandatory
• Possession of HR driver’s license is advantageous
• Effective communication skills to coordinate with team members
