Primary Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain scalable RESTful APIs using Python and Django frameworks.
• Keep up with emerging technologies and industry best practices to continuously improve backend systems.
• Utilize monitoring and profiling tools such as Datadog, Grafana, and CloudWatch to optimize application performance.
• Provide mentorship and technical guidance to fellow engineers fostering a collaborative learning culture.
• Engage in pair programming to promote shared expertise and effective problem-solving across the development team.
• Lead the adoption and enforcement of best coding practices among backend developers to maintain high code quality standards.
• Design and deploy cloud-based services primarily on AWS, with openness to other cloud platforms.
• Produce clear, maintainable, and well-commented code that upholds both functionality and readability standards.

Required Qualifications

• Several years of practical experience developing with Python and the Django framework.
• Proven proficiency in SQL and working knowledge of Object-Relational Mapping (ORM) technologies.
• Experience using testing frameworks to validate code reliability and maintainability.
• Familiarity with cloud infrastructure, especially AWS, and comparable platforms such as Azure or GCP.
• Knowledge of concurrency and asynchronous task handling, ideally with Celery or a related tool.
