About the Role
The AYS Runner position at Marriott International in Dubai entails much more than transporting items; it is about crafting a distinctive and memorable experience for guests. Runners support various departments including housekeeping, engineering, banquets, restaurants, and front office by providing timely deliveries and assistance, ensuring seamless hotel operations. Success in this role requires dedication to maintaining a safe work environment, adherence to company policies, confidentiality, and upholding high standards of quality. Professional appearance and communication are essential.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Deliver items promptly to guests and assist multiple hotel departments as needed.
- Stand, walk, and be physically active for extended periods, working in confined, elevated, or stair environments.
- Read and verify information presented in various formats, including small print, and inspect equipment and tools.
- Handle manual tasks such as lifting, carrying, pushing, or pulling objects weighing up to 55 pounds, including bending, twisting, and stooping.
- Perform other reasonable job duties as assigned to support hotel operations and guest satisfaction.
Qualifications
- Minimum education requirement is a high school diploma or equivalent (G.E.D.).
- No prior related work or supervisory experience necessary.
- No licenses or certifications required.
