Role overview

Autism Care Partners is hiring a seasoned AVP of Finance & Corporate Controller to join its senior leadership group. In this role, you will report directly to the CFO and oversee accounting, controllership, financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and day-to-day operational finance across a fast-growing organization that operates across multiple states and multiple entities. This position calls for strong technical accounting depth, the ability to partner closely with business leaders, and the skill to turn financial information into practical insights that support strategy and long-term growth.

Key responsibilities

  • Act as a key finance advisor to the CFO, executive team, and operational leaders by delivering timely insights that help guide decisions.
  • Own the monthly close process, consolidated reporting, variance analysis, and internal reporting materials across several entities and states.
  • Put strong internal controls in place and keep activities aligned with GAAP, tax, audit, and regulatory obligations.
  • Drive the annual budget cycle, rolling forecasts, and scenario modeling to support enterprise strategy and execution.
  • Work with operations and clinical leaders on service-line economics, capacity planning, cost analysis, and growth opportunities.
  • Coordinate with external auditors, tax consultants, and other finance partners to ensure work is accurate, timely, high-quality, and aligned to business needs.
  • Partner with Analytics to make sure financial data, dashboards, and reports are reliable, clear, and ready for decision-making.
  • Oversee finance-related operational areas such as insurance, vendor spend review, lease administration, and financial risk management.
  • Lead, mentor, and grow team members across accounting, accounts payable, and purchasing.
  • Contribute to special initiatives including strategic planning, board and investor reporting, M&A diligence, process improvements, and expansion into new markets.

What the role requires

  • A finance leader who can connect performance with operating priorities, growth plans, and mission impact.
  • Strong collaboration skills with the ability to build trusted relationships across Finance, Operations, Clinical, Analytics, and administrative functions.
  • Clear communication skills with the ability to explain complex financial information in a way that is useful to different audiences.
  • A proactive problem-solver who can identify risks, opportunities, and improvements and offer practical recommendations.
  • Experience managing and developing teams while encouraging accountability, curiosity, continuous improvement, and professional development.
  • High integrity, good judgment, emotional intelligence, and alignment with the organization’s mission and values.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline is required; an MBA is preferred.
  • CPA credential is strongly preferred.
  • At least 8 years of progressive experience in finance and accounting, including 3 or more years in a senior leadership, controller, or similar finance leadership role.
  • Background in healthcare, behavioral health, multi-site services, or another complex multi-entity setting is strongly preferred.
  • Solid understanding of GAAP, multi-entity consolidations, financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and internal controls.
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills and experience with ERP, accounting, FP&A, or similar finance platforms; Sage, NetSuite, Zoho, or comparable systems are preferred.
  • Experience using dashboards, data visualization, or analytics tools to present financial insights to non-finance stakeholders.

Why join

This is an opportunity to join a mission-driven organization during an important growth phase. You will help shape finance strategy, strengthen finance infrastructure, and work with leaders across the organization to support quality care and sustainable expansion.
