Job description
Position Overview
We are looking for an experienced CAD Drafter to assist in the preparation and management of technical drawings related to tunnel construction projects. The role involves creating and revising AutoCAD drawings in collaboration with engineers, architects, and project teams to ensure precision and adherence to project specifications and regulatory standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop shop drawings, including reinforced concrete (RC) layouts, construction plans, reinforcement arrangements, excavation plans, and steelwork details based on provided designs.
- Create and maintain 2D AutoCAD drawings for documentation and construction purposes.
- Collaborate closely with design engineers and architects to maintain drawing accuracy consistent with design intent.
- Oversee drawing revision processes, manage version control, and compile submission documentation.
- Ensure all drawings conform to relevant Singaporean standards and authority regulations such as those from BCA, LTA, and PUB.
- Coordinate with Project Managers, engineers, and subcontractors to facilitate design integration and project implementation.
Candidate Requirements
- Diploma or Degree in Civil, Structural Engineering, or a closely related field.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in drafting, ideally within Singapore's construction or engineering consultancy sectors.
- Strong skills in AutoCAD and Microsoft Office applications.
- Familiarity with CAD platforms like AutoCAD, Revit, and BIM software tools.
- Solid knowledge of building codes, drafting standards, and technical drawing best practices.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a collaborative project team.
- Willingness to work a 5.5-day schedule: Monday to Friday 8am–6pm and Saturday 8am–12pm.
