Associate – Public Equities & Fixed Income Research

About the Role

Lesha Bank is in a phase of rapid growth and is looking for talented and driven individuals to join its team. The Associate in Public Equities and Fixed Income Research will be a key member of the Doha-based Investments Team, reporting directly to the Portfolio Manager. This role focuses on supporting the management of equity investments through rigorous research, idea generation, and ongoing portfolio monitoring.

Key Responsibilities

• Support the Portfolio Manager by delivering industry insights, comprehensive bottom-up fundamental research, and actionable stock recommendations aimed at enhancing investment performance.
• Conduct both primary and secondary research to inform investment decisions.
• Build and analyze complex financial models and perform valuations to assess investment opportunities.
• Contribute to developing investment strategies and construction of asset allocation models to optimize returns and control risk.
• Prepare periodic performance reports including return attribution and benchmarking analyses.
• Monitor portfolio holdings daily for corporate actions and significant events, coordinating with back office and risk teams.
• Create presentation materials for investment proposals and regular updates to senior management.
• Maintain regular communication with company management teams, industry contacts, and utilize external publications and analysts to gather intelligence.
• Assist with trade execution tasks and related documentation on a daily basis.

Qualifications and Experience

• Experience as an equity research generalist; familiarity with the MENA region is advantageous but not required.
• Strong quantitative and qualitative analytical abilities, and proficient in advanced Excel modeling.
• Excellent interpersonal skills capable of thriving in a collaborative and entrepreneurial team environment.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills that enable clear and concise information sharing.
• Ability to formulate independent views and defend these opinions confidently.
• Experience with Bloomberg terminal and advanced Excel capabilities.
• Postgraduate degree in a relevant field; certifications such as CA or CFA are highly preferred.
• Arabic language skills are beneficial but not mandatory.
