Position Overview
The Associate Product Development Manager will design product categories under the guidance of the Buying team, addressing brand and business needs. This role holds responsibility for implementing product planning and development processes.
Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate continuously with Buying, Product Development, and Production teams to analyze business needs, resolve production challenges, and research new fabrics and trims.
- Execute and support strategies for product, marketing, and business to achieve regional sales and profit targets.
- Participate in cross-functional teams to implement the New Product Development plan.
- Attend fittings related to assigned product categories, making design and fit adjustments as needed.
- Assist in creating effective customer strategies by understanding the role of customers and optimizing marketing approaches.
- Work jointly with internal departments to identify and apply consumer insights and trend data into actionable programs.
- Cooperate with Buying to design product lines through market research and business analysis to meet brand expectations.
- Identify opportunities for market research to stay informed about consumer trends, new products, and packaging innovations.
- Conduct performance and new product testing to ensure quality and customer satisfaction.
- Create tech packs and input data into the Enovia PLM system to execute designs.
- Contribute to concept presentations with preparation of boards and handouts on a seasonal basis.
- Monitor product group performance and customer feedback to address issues proactively and reduce risks or losses.
