Role overview
This position sits within Grant Thornton's GT US Shared Services Center India Pvt. Ltd in Kolkata. The role focuses on operational due diligence work, cost analysis, operating model design, integration support, and carve-out execution across client engagements.
Project delivery and workstream ownership
- Take ownership of assigned modules across operational diligence, cost analysis, operating model design, integration, and carve-out execution.
- Build and review financial as well as operational analyses covering cost structures, organizational design, KPIs, and benchmarking.
- Convert large data sets and leadership inputs into clear findings, testable hypotheses, and practical recommendations.
- Create client-facing materials such as presentations, trackers, and data books that match the requirements of the deal.
Coaching and delivery support
- Support daily execution with junior team members while maintaining output quality and meeting deadlines.
- Guide colleagues in structuring problems, analysing issues, and preparing delivery materials.
- Coach team members to strengthen analytical capability and execution across assignments.
Tool development and knowledge enablement
- Help design and improve internal tools, templates, and analytical frameworks that make delivery more efficient.
- Lead the creation of standard outputs, dashboards, and reporting formats aligned to changing deal needs.
- Document lessons learned and best practices so delivery quality can be reused across engagements.
Firm reinvestment activities
- Contribute actively to internal initiatives focused on capability building, knowledge creation, and research.
- Prepare internal materials and analyses that support wider team priorities and strategic workstreams.
- Take part in firm-wide efforts to improve delivery quality, scalability, and value creation impact.
