About the Role
The Baggage Transformation team leads significant digitalisation efforts and operational concepts that influence the future of baggage handling and passenger service at Changi Airport. This position centers on creating, deploying, and sustaining data-driven digital products and systems while collaborating closely with airport stakeholders to convert operational needs into actionable technological solutions. Ideal candidates enjoy blending operational insight with technology to simplify complex issues into scalable, data-informed systems.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the comprehensive lifecycle of digital systems and data-based products, including identifying challenges, gathering requirements, designing solutions, deploying models, and scaling implementations.
- Engage stakeholders to convert operational issues into well-structured use cases and detailed system specifications.
- Develop and test digital applications by defining data pathways, system workflows, and user interface interactions.
- Lead change management efforts within baggage operations, fostering stakeholder alignment and jointly developing solutions.
- Assist in program planning, managing budgets, and monitoring progress, concentrating on high priority digital and data projects.
Qualifications and Skills
- Possession of a good degree in any field, alongside 3 to 5 years of professional experience, with preference given to candidates with operational technology roles.
- Strong analytical and critical thinking skills capable of deconstructing unclear operational challenges into clear, manageable elements.
- Proven experience or keen interest in data work, such as analysis, dashboard creation, or data modeling.
- Proficiency with Excel and PowerPoint; familiarity with data analytics platforms like SQL, Python, Power BI, or Tableau highly beneficial.
- Basic knowledge of databases, application programming interfaces (APIs), or system design principles is advantageous.
- Highly self-motivated, adaptable to ambiguity, and effective in rapidly changing work environments.
- Prior experience in airport or ground handling operations, or expertise in project and change management, will be considered a plus.
