About the Role
As an Assistant Fresh Convenience Manager, you will play a vital part in the daily operations of your department while collaborating with store colleagues to ensure customers enjoy an excellent shopping experience and the team has a positive workplace environment. This position offers a valuable introduction to leadership and departmental skills through the Store Leadership Pathway, supporting your growth toward a retail career.
Responsibilities
- Creating an engaging and inclusive team atmosphere where individuality is welcomed and a consistent, positive shopping experience is delivered
- Supporting daily department functions and working closely with store teams to meet customer needs
- Leading by example in safety by adhering to correct store procedures to protect team members and customers
- Collaborating effectively with others to achieve strong outcomes
- Demonstrating and promoting customer service excellence according to Everyday ACTs - Acknowledge, Care & Thank
Requirements
- Willingness to learn all aspects of department operations to offer excellent day-to-day support
- A collaborative approach and ability to work well with others
- Developing personal leadership skills with enthusiasm for growth in a leadership role
- Understanding the importance of teamwork across the store to enhance customer experience
- A curious, proactive mindset towards personal and professional development
Work Schedule
This role offers a flexible four-day work week designed to balance personal needs and business requirements. The roster option includes shifts from Tuesday to Saturday, starting at 7:00 AM and ending at 9:00 PM.
