Role Overview

Join the Out Of Hours Primary Care (GMED) Walk In Service team as an Assistant Dispatcher, supporting urgent primary care delivery without appointments in Aberdeenshire. This role is part of a national pilot backed by the Scottish Government, providing same-day urgent care access.

Key Responsibilities

You will coordinate clinical resources from 12:00 to 20:00 daily, including public holidays and festive periods. The role demands excellent communication, teamwork with multidisciplinary colleagues, and mature interaction with public and other organizations.

Candidate Profile

Successful candidates will be meticulous, able to work independently under pressure, and demonstrate superior accuracy and attention to detail. Although prior healthcare support experience is beneficial, it is not mandatory.

Work Details

Position is located in Inverurie, with variable hours scheduled across a 4-week rotating roster. The contract is fixed-term for 12 months with potential for appointment on Bank thereafter. Pay enhancements apply for unsocial hours.
