About the Role
Join EY’s Business Development team in Saudi Arabia and play a pivotal role in advancing growth, nurturing client partnerships, and steering strategic initiatives within Government and Infrastructure sectors, including Sports, Culture, Entertainment & Tourism, Public Health, Labor, Education, Digital Government, Defense & Security, Public Finance, and Transport.
Key Responsibilities
- Forge and sustain trusted relationships at senior executive levels within government bodies, semi-government organizations, and major national programs, acting as a strategic advisor by recognizing sector-specific client needs and tailoring effective solutions.
- Lead revenue growth by managing account plans, developing sales pipelines, and spearheading strategic projects aligned with priorities in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia’s priority sectors.
- Collaborate with service line heads to formulate and implement sector-focused growth strategies while providing analysis on market trends, regulatory changes, and competitive landscape.
- Promote operational excellence through structured account management, pipeline oversight, and active participation in revenue forecasting for key accounts.
- Provide mentorship and coaching to junior business development professionals to cultivate a high-performing team well-versed in local market demands.
Required Skills and Attributes
- Demonstrated success in marketing and selling complex service offerings at senior levels across government-related sectors such as Infrastructure, Tourism, and Education.
- Strong strategic and commercial insight with the ability to influence stakeholders within matrix organizations.
- Expertise in managing accounts, growing pipelines, and identifying new business opportunities within government or large-scale projects.
- Excellent negotiation, communication, and presentation capabilities.
- Independent, proactive mindset suitable for dynamic, culturally diverse environments.
- Acquaintance with public procurement, tendering processes, proposal development, and pursuit techniques.
- Competence in converting data into actionable strategic insights.
- In-depth knowledge of Saudi Arabian market dynamics and national transformation efforts preferred.
Preferred Qualifications
- Graduate degree or higher in business or related disciplines.
- 10 to 15+ years’ experience in business development roles.
- Proven record of driving growth with strong networks among key market players, managing multiple client accounts, and delivering quantifiable outcomes.
- Experience working in government-driven environments and across multiple countries is advantageous.
- Well-established contacts in priority sectors.
- Saudi nationality is preferred.
- Fluent in both Arabic and English.
