Architect – Mega Construction Projects

Role Overview

This opportunity is for an Architect to support major construction work in Qatar. The position is full-time and site-based, and it involves contributing to the design and delivery of large-scale developments with project values ranging from QAR 1 billion to QAR 1.5 billion. The role calls for close coordination with engineering, consultancy, and project management teams to help ensure that buildings are completed to a high standard, within schedule and budget.

The employer is seeking someone with strong Gulf-region experience who can handle complex technical issues, coordinate across multiple teams, and contribute to successful project execution.

Project Scope

The work focuses on mega construction assignments in the construction sector, with responsibilities spanning architecture, project design, construction oversight, and project coordination.

Responsibilities

• Take ownership of architectural design and coordination for major construction assignments.
• Check drawings, plans, and related technical documentation for accuracy and suitability.
• Liaise with engineers, consultants, and contractors to keep project delivery aligned.
• Confirm that design outputs reflect client expectations and project requirements.
• Track site progress to make sure construction follows the approved drawings.
• Address design issues and on-site concerns promptly and effectively.
• Work with various project stakeholders to maintain the schedule.
• Support compliance with quality standards, safety practices, and local building rules.
• Assist with planning activities and progress updates for the project team.
• Help deliver outcomes that prioritize quality and client satisfaction.

Requirements

• A bachelor's degree in Architecture is required.
• At least 10 years of experience in Gulf construction projects is mandatory.
• Prior involvement in mega construction work must be demonstrated.
• Hands-on experience with projects in the QAR 1 billion to QAR 1.5 billion range is required.
• Strong understanding of architectural design, construction techniques, and building regulations is necessary.
• Effective communication and cross-functional coordination skills are important.
• Ability to manage multiple stakeholders while working to deadlines is expected.
• Strong analytical thinking and decision-making ability are essential.
