Role overview
This position sits within Fidelity’s Analytics Research & Data (ARD) team. In this role, you’ll blend technical depth with business understanding to support evidence-based decisions. Your analysis and recommendations will help guide strategic priorities, influence business results, and contribute to long-term growth.
What you’ll do
- Work with business partners to create analytical insights that support, refine, and influence business strategy.
- Examine large and complex data sets to understand the underlying drivers behind trends and patterns, then convert those findings into practical recommendations.
Core skills for the role
- Strong working knowledge of SQL and Snowflake for extracting, analyzing, and validating data.
- Hands-on experience building clear, executive-level dashboards and visual stories in Power BI or Tableau.
- Ability to shape data into persuasive narratives that highlight opportunities, risks, and actionable insights.
- Comfort turning business problems into testable hypotheses and validating them through experimentation or advanced analytics.
- Strong analytical judgment and structured problem-solving, with the ability to answer the “so what” and “what if” questions and recommend action.
- Excellent communication and presentation ability to explain complex findings clearly to different audiences.
- Experience collaborating across teams and aligning outcomes with broader organizational and customer objectives.
- Curious mindset, strong ownership, and a commitment to continuous learning and improvement.
Experience and education
The role calls for 1 to 3 years of relevant analytics experience delivering measurable business value through data-backed insights, along with advanced SQL skills. A bachelor’s degree in Economics, Statistics, Finance, or a related STEM discipline is required. An MBA or MS is preferred.
