Our expertise spans underground utility construction and maintenance, sewer pipeline rehabilitation, road and airfield construction and upkeep, as well as asphalt pre-mix production and recycling of construction waste.
Role Overview
The Airside Driver holding a Category 1 Airfield Driving Permit (ADP) will be responsible for safely operating vehicles within the airport's airside areas. This position requires adhering strictly to airside safety protocols, ensuring timely and secure transportation of personnel and equipment along airside service roads, while maintaining communication with Air Traffic Control.
Key Responsibilities
- Drive vehicles safely within airport airside and taxiway zones in full compliance with established airside rules.
- Transport staff, supplies, tools, and equipment between specified airside locations efficiently.
- Maintain continuous radio communication with Air Traffic Control and airside authorities using standard radio-telephony procedures.
- Perform thorough pre-operational and post-operational vehicle safety inspections; report any defects or incidents encountered.
- Assist with various ad-hoc airside duties including towing or positioning ground support apparatus when required.
- Strictly comply with airport, Civil Aviation Authority of Singapore (CAAS), and overall safety regulations during all operations.
Required Qualifications and Skills
- Possession of a valid Singapore Class 3, 4, or 5 Driving Licence.
- Holder of a valid Category 1 Airfield Driving Permit (ADP) granted by the airport authority.
- Solid understanding of airside safety regulations and radio communication protocols with Air Traffic Control.
- Strong safety awareness, punctuality, and capacity to follow operational guidelines within airfield environments.
- Good physical fitness to carry out vehicle inspections and confirm compliance with vehicle standards.
- Flexibility to work shifts which may include mornings, nights, weekends, or public holidays based on operational needs.
