Key Responsibilities

• Collaborate directly with business stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into functional AI agent solutions within Oracle Fusion HCM Cloud using Oracle AI Agent Studio.
• Develop and refine prompts, including system prompts, few-shot examples, and chain-of-thought structuring to ensure agents behave reliably and consistently.
• Create and maintain custom tools, skills, and functions such as data lookups, calculations, document generation, and third-party integrations callable by agents.
• Integrate AI agents with internal and external APIs (REST/SOAP), managing authentication, request-response cycles, error recovery, and retries.
• Design and implement complex multi-step workflows featuring sequential, conditional, and parallel agent/tool executions.
• Configure workflow triggers that may be event-based, scheduled, webhook-initiated, or user-triggered.
• Conduct thorough testing for edge cases, failure modes, hallucination prevention, and implement guardrails to maintain agent integrity.
• Optimize solutions for cost-efficiency, low latency, and accuracy through careful model selection and context management.
• Document the architecture, prompts, tools, and workflows to simplify ongoing maintenance.
• Troubleshoot issues with agents, tools, and workflows in production environments.
• Keep up to date with Large Language Model (LLM) and agent framework developments, recommending improvements where appropriate.

Required Qualifications

• 3 to 5 years of experience developing LLM-based applications or AI agents, with a preference for production deployments.
• Expertise in prompt engineering, including system, few-shot, zero-shot prompts, structured output formatting (JSON/XML), and safeguarding against prompt injection.
• Hands-on experience building custom functions and tools for agent frameworks.
• Proficiency with API integrations involving REST and SOAP, authentication methods (OAuth, API Keys), and robust error handling.
• Experience implementing triggers such as webhooks, scheduled jobs, and event-driven mechanisms.
• Bonus: Knowledge of vector databases, retrieval-augmented generation (RAG), multi-agent systems, MCP or related agent-tool standards, and AI agent monitoring frameworks.
• Familiarity with version control (Git) and CI/CD pipelines for agent deployment.
• Programming experience in Node.js and TypeScript.
• Strong understanding of Microservices architecture and production maintenance.
• Experience with secure identity protocols including SSO and OAuth.
• Knowledge of relational and non-relational databases.
• Understanding of core LLM concepts such as tokens, top_p, temperature, and data streaming.
• Ability to create structured outputs and implement multi-turn tool call architectures.
• Experience with workflow tools like LangChain or LangGraph.
• Bonus: Experience with Oracle AI Agent Studio.
