Accounts Manager

Role Overview

We seek a seasoned Accounts Manager with at least 3 to 4 years of pertinent experience, ideally from a Chartered Accountant (CA) firm background. The successful candidate will oversee accounting functions, taxation tasks, team supervision, and client interactions.

Primary Duties

• Oversee daily bookkeeping and accounting for diverse clients.
• Audit and approve ledgers, account books, reconciliations, and financial statements.
• Manage GST, TDS, Income Tax, and related statutory compliance procedures.
• Review GST and TDS returns, tax calculations, and relevant documentation.
• Communicate with clients to gather accounting information, documents, and ensure compliance.
• Supervise junior accountants and assess their work quality.
• Guarantee the punctual completion of monthly, quarterly, and yearly compliance tasks.
• Support the preparation of MIS reports, Balance Sheets, and Profit & Loss statements.
• Address client inquiries concerning taxation and accounting matters.
• Liaise with CA partners on audits, assessments, notices, and other critical assignments.
• Monitor task assignments, deadlines, and team productivity.
• Detect and resolve any accounting irregularities promptly.
• Maintain accurate documentation and client compliance records.

Required Qualifications and Experience

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Commerce, Accounting, or Finance.
• 3 to 4+ years’ experience in CA firms, tax consultancies, or accounting firms.
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles, GST, TDS, Income Tax, and statutory compliances.
• Proficiency in Tally Prime, MS Excel, and other accounting tools.
• Experience managing multiple clients and leading accounting teams.
• Excellent analytical thinking, communication, and client management skills.
• Ability to work autonomously and adhere to tight deadlines.
• Detail-oriented with strong problem-solving capabilities.

Preferred Candidate Profile

Candidates experienced with multiple SME or corporate clients in CA firms, familiar with accounting closure, GST/TDS compliance, audit assistance, and client management are highly valued.
