Role Overview
The Accountant position, located in Dubai, UAE, is a full-time role requiring the incumbent to be onsite. The role is responsible for handling daily accounting operations, such as recording transactions, maintaining general ledgers, preparing journal entries, and reconciling bank statements. The individual will support the preparation of financial reports on a monthly, quarterly, and yearly basis and assist with budgeting, forecasting, and monitoring cash flow.
Key Responsibilities
- Process and oversee financial transactions and maintain accurate ledgers.
- Prepare journal entries and conduct bank and account reconciliations regularly.
- Assist in compiling financial reports per required periods.
- Support budgeting processes, financial forecasting, and manage cash flow effectively.
- Ensure adherence to accounting standards and local regulatory requirements.
- Manage invoice processing and payments.
- Collaborate with internal departments and external auditors to facilitate smooth auditing.
- Contribute to the enhancement of financial procedures and controls.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Solid understanding of general accounting, reporting, and reconciliations.
- Competency in budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow administration.
- Proficient with accounting software, ERP systems, and skilled in advanced MS Excel functions.
- Knowledgeable about relevant accounting standards, tax laws, and financial regulations applicable locally.
- Detail-oriented with strong analytical skills and ability to interpret complex financial information.
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities to coordinate with various teams.
- Capable of handling multiple tasks, meeting deadlines, and keeping accurate financial records in a dynamic environment.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related discipline is required; certification like CPA or ACCA is beneficial.
- Previous accounting experience, ideally within multi-divisional organizations or project-centric settings, is preferred.
