Position Summary
This full-time role entails handling various accounting functions including general ledger maintenance, accounts payable, materials management, payroll, and the preparation of monthly financial reports for both the hospital and Total Family Healthcare.
Qualifications
- A Bachelor's Degree in accounting is required.
- At least two years of relevant accounting experience.
Primary Responsibilities
- Perform daily and monthly reconciliation of accounts.
- Reconcile and document monthly activities for the rural health clinic.
- Calculate monthly allowances for accounts receivable.
- Ensure general ledger aligns with subsidiary ledgers and supporting schedules.
- Prepare monthly manual journal entries related to prepaid expenses, allowances, payroll, withholdings, and more.
- Generate month-end worksheets and monthly financial statements.
- Maintain and update the fixed asset register for purchases and disposals, process depreciation, and prepare monthly reports.
- Support annual financial audits and Medicare/Medicaid cost report preparation by compiling necessary schedules.
- Input the annual budget figures.
- Assist departments with charge-related queries and entry issues.
- Administer the chargemaster for the hospital and TFHC to ensure compliance with Price Transparency rules.
- Handle monthly invoicing and payments for Specialty Clinics space rental.
- Collaborate with materials management, accounts payable, payroll, and patient accounts teams to resolve problems and provide training.
- Prepare quarterly physician RVU reports.
- Provide support for payroll activities when needed.
- Compile various surveys and reports as required.
- Carry out additional duties as assigned.
