The role is designed for a finance professional who can deliver accurate accounting support, keep records organized, and help clients maintain healthy financial operations. In this position, you will contribute to financial reporting, bookkeeping, and the handling of accounting systems while working across a range of client needs. The work involves balancing precision, responsiveness, and client-focused support.
Key accountabilities
- Match client bank statements and keep bookkeeping records current and accurate.
- Track income and expenses carefully to maintain clear financial visibility.
- Compile financial reports from accounting records and day-to-day business activity.
- Manage tax submissions, remittances, and related compliance tasks.
- Assist with setting up, maintaining, and improving accounting software workflows.
- Use QuickBooks Online for client accounting and reporting activities.
- Share accurate financial data and keep supporting documents well organized.
- Support accounting requirements for both nonprofit and for-profit organizations.
Requirements
- At least 3 years of professional experience in accounting.
- Bachelor’s degree or an equivalent qualification in accounting, finance, or a related subject.
- Experience handling nonprofit accounting is an advantage.
- CPA certification or a similar professional credential is a plus.
- Practical working knowledge of QuickBooks Online.
- Solid understanding of bookkeeping, reporting, and core accounting procedures.
- High accuracy and strong attention to detail when working with financial data.
- Good planning and time-management skills.
- Ability to work on your own, set priorities, and meet deadlines.
- Clear communication skills and a strong client service orientation.
