3D Spatial Data Associate - Intermediate (AI Community) - Part-Time Remote

About the Role

Join TELUS International AI-Data Solutions as a 3D Spatial Data Associate and contribute to advancing AI from 2D interfaces into immersive 3D environments. You'll be a key member of our AI community, responsible for annotating and interpreting 3D data such as LiDAR scans and meshes. This role involves teaching AI the fundamentals of spatial awareness—like distinguishing where a curb ends or a pedestrian begins—to support developments in autonomous vehicles, drones, and the industrial metaverse.

Key Responsibilities

• Produce precise 3D bounding box annotations on point-cloud datasets.
• Conduct semantic segmentation to categorize elements like roads, sidewalks, obstacles, and other surfaces within 3D maps.
• Cleanse point-cloud data by removing sensor noise and correcting inconsistencies.
• Validate AI-created 3D environments by cross-referencing with actual real-world data.
• Assess spatial relationships, including object placement, distances, and navigation routes within 3D scenes.

Candidate Profile & Eligibility

• Applicants must be able to work from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM Indian Standard Time to align with company operations.
• A bachelor's degree in any discipline is required; preferred backgrounds include architecture, geography, graphic or game design, or STEM.
• Native-level proficiency in the candidate's primary language.
• Intermediate English communication skills (B1 level) are needed.
• Strong visual-spatial abilities with an aptitude for interpreting depth and dimensions from 2D images.
• No prior experience is necessary, making this role suitable for freshers.

Compensation

The annual remuneration ranges between $8,649 and $24,000 USD.
